Briefs

Briefs

Each year NCAD provides a portfolio submission brief for students interested in attending the art and design college. The guide contains the brief, advice on presentation, assessment and general info.

We selected a variety of images of work by first year students to give a feel for the course. These were used as background border images throughout the new brief.

Dublin is bidding to be designated World Design Capital 2014. Red&Grey Design, Emma Curley Architects and Areaman Films with Dr Linda King and Henri McKervey, have just completed the bid document which describes not only the proposals for 2014 but also the many design assets of the city. The document is with the binders and is due to be dispatched to ICSID headquarters in Montreal this week. We’re obviously looking forward to seeing the final version too. The design features the owners and their story of how they became chutney makers. Keep a look out for it in the stores and support this new Irish business.
