The Bingham Cup, also known as the gay rugby world cup was held in Dublin in June 2008. Teams from all across the globe flew in for the competition and very possibly for the craic also.
Having helped the organising committee create an identity prior to securing the competition we were happy to continue working together to expand identity as well as advertise the event. The identity is based around a series of competition icons, each one linocut, giving them a much needed roughness and texture. We created backdrops, banners, signage, invitations, posters, onscreen graphics and a full kit including a commemorative Bingham Cup jersey.
We worked with renowned copywriter Gai Griffin to advertise the competition by creating a series of postcards and billboards each with its own mock warning.
